We were pretty excited to hear that Family Fare Supermarkets are expanding in our area. They have taken over the local Bag-N-Save stores and re-branded. The opening of these 8 new stores gave me the opportunity to ditch my kids with the grandparents and have some time to shop on my own. (INSERT WILD CHEERING HERE). Here are a list of the newest locations:

I was able to visit the location on 144th and Center. I grabbed my cart and ad and ventured out for an hour of uninterrupted shopping and sampling.
The first area I hit was the “Living Well” section. What is Living Well? Living Well is a section within the stores that offers a better, healthier for you variety and selection dedicated to better eating and lifestyle choices. Living Well can be found near the produce department in every store with over 2,000 products in stock.
Choices include: Gluten Free, Allergen Free, Dairy Alternatives, Vegan, Organic, Non-GMO, Probiotics, Bulk Foods, Raw Foods, Superfoods, Cold-pressed juices and teas, vitamins and nutrition supplements, and health and beauty products.
Since I was able to shop without children I had time to look at all 2000 items…just joking…kind of….
My next stop was the pet food, treat and toy aisle. We recently added an English Bulldog to our family. He is adorable and we try to keep him healthy by feeding him quality food and treats. I was blown away by Family Fare’s selection of high quality pet products. Check it out!
My last stop was a treat for myself. Let me tell you about the wine, spirits and beer section. This is really high end. They have a great selection of wines from the cheap bottle with the cute labels (my favorite kind) to the nice, expensive kind my mom brings over for Thanksgiving.
There is also a great local brew section that made me proud to support the home team. All in all I think Family Fare will do great and is a welcome addition to the local area. You can find Family Fare on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest for events, savings and recipes. Hope to see you there!
